“But just as you excel in everything-in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in your love for us-see that you also excel in this grace of giving.” 2 Corinthians 8

Stewardship Is More Than Giving
Are you giving enough? Can you give more? This is what each of us should be asking ourselves on a regular basis. Are there ways to cut back on your budget so you can give a few extra dollars a week to the Lord’s work? Look at the tips on saving money to see if there are areas where you can spend less. Is there a way you can earn a little extra money simply to donate that money to a worthy cause? Check out Craigslist for odd jobs or sign up for online reward programs and set aside any money earned for a special cause (donate gift certificates earned to a family in need or give as a thank you to your Pastor).
And giving is not just about money. Think about how to give more of yourself to others. Be generous not only with your finances but also with your time.“Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” 2Corinthians 9:6-8
