My husband and I use a credit card to pay for just about everything which is fine for us as we pay the balance each month. Not only is it easier to just pay with a credit card but we have always used reward-type cards to earn rewards on our spending. I wanted to share with all of you my new favorite card as there is a promotion now for signing on new members. I swear I wouldn’t promote this if it weren’t a great deal and if you have trouble with overspending on a credit card or can’t pay your balance off each month, then don’t get the card.
What’s nice about this card as opposed to just a 1% cash back card is you earn 5X points on all food, gas, and drugstore purchases. That can add up fast. We’ve had the card for less than a year and have already earned about $300 in gift certificates. I get the Target gift certificates so I can buy necessities and feel like I’m helping out my budget. Okay, so say you get the card and only charge your grocery bill each month which is $300 per month. In 4 months you would have earned a $50 gift card of your choosing! AND you get 5000 free points after your first purchase which equals a $50 gift certificate to start. The “specifics” are below but if you decide to sign up please include my member id so I can earn some extra points.

Remember, the best deal is to get a $50 gift certificate for every 6000 points earned. Gift cards are available for Target, Best Buy, Home Depot, and more.
I should mention that if you have trouble sticking to a budget then it is probably best to steer clear of credit cards. Using a cash system is the best way to not overspend, especially if you use some type of envelope system. But if you do use credit cards a reward card has some great bonuses.
