Ralph Waldo Emerson once said- “Nature is to thin. The omnipresent God bursts through everywhere.”
In my blog, Where Did You find God Today?, I encourage readers to seek God throughout their day. It is amazing where you can find His fingerprints. A rosy sunrise, a cardinal singing sweetly outside your window, a welcoming soft patter of rain – nature is too thin!
But often, aren’t we thick? We rush about our day, heads bent and cheeks puffing with all we have to do. We are so concetnrating on the “right now”, because it is all we can see, that we miss all the beauty of His creation around us. And often, our minds are too filled with the clamor of the world to hear His soft whisper in our hearts. We are shoved in so many directions, we never notice that gentle tap on our shoulders- “See, I am here- right beside you.”
God doesn’t play hide and seek. But we need to slow down long enough to seek His presence. He is not just bursting through nature – Our Lord is trying to burst into your life!
