Jesus, right before he died on the Cross, quoted Psalm 22:1- “My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?”
He took on our sins as the Righteous Father turned His head, then Jesus in his death, defeated death.
Because of what Christ did today, on Good Friday, no one need ever ask that question again.
If anyone sins, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous, and He is the perfect offering for our sins, and not ours only but the sins of the world. 1 John 2:1-2
Today, reflect on His love and sacrifice for you – but, mourn not long,
for in a few days we will gather and praise, saying
“He is risen- the Lord is risen indeed. Hallelujah.”
