"They saw it, and so they marveled..." Psalms 48:5a
When you see the handiwork of God, when you see Him take an impossible situation and make it possible, when you see Him make a way where there was none, when you see Him perform a miracle on your behalf, when you see Him put down your enemy and fight your battle for you... you can't help but "marvel". You can't help but stand in amazement at what God has done. There are those who will tell you that you shouldn't marvel or be amazed when you see God answer your prayer because if you had faith that He was going to do it, you shouldn't be amaze when it happens.... faith was expecting it.
Though my faith is expecting the Lord to answer my prayer and move on my behalf, I am still marveled when He does it. I am marveled by the fact that He would even do it for me (because truthfully, none of us deserve any blessing we get from God). I am marveled at how perfectly God did it and how nothing was left undone. I marvel because of His great love for me that compels Him to grant me my petition. He is a marvelous God who does marvelous things, and just because you have the faith that He will do it... you should still keep an attitude of amazement over the goodness of the Lord to grant your desire.
