One of the hardest lessons I am still learning is that God uses my weaknesses for His strength. It is only when I acknowledge my weakness and my inability to handle a situation and look to Him that He steps in- it's when I step aside. Paul wrote in 2nd Corinthians that he figured out God was using the thorn in his flesh to keep him from being conceited. God responded that His grace was sufficient and in Paul's weakness He was made strong.

That is what being sincerely humbled is. We do not have to be perfect to be used by God, just open, just as we are, to His will.

[...] unknown posted a noteworthy aricle today onHere’s a small snippetMany times in our lives we will be challenged with becoming “least” in order to become “great.” The Word gives us many examples of this concept . . . here is one that comes to mind: “Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, … Lord, create in me a humble, servant’s heart that seeks after You with all that is within me, all the day long. Amen and Amen. “He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. … [...]
